This week I worked on YouTube to create part of this spread. I used my new watercolor palette from Dandelion Studios and highly recommend! Not a paid ad, just a fan. This spread is done in my composition notebook, which is now housed in my Documented Journey cover. You can find more here. The large bird sticker is from the packaging for this cover. If you see anything else you are curious about, please reach out to me.
This post will pick up after the prompts from the previous two weeks. If you would like to start at the beginning, go here. Note that they do not need to be completed to continue. I ask you to move through these as invitations. Greet them with curiosity, and feel free to walk away if something doesn’t quite fit. As always, please tag starmothpress on IG and use #iridescentexplorations if you choose to share. I would love to connect with you on your journey.
As you continue through your Cave of Inner Knowing, you see a pinprick of light that you know to be the entrance to the your Inner Wildlands. As you move towards it, you are stopped by a force field. A voice prompts you.
“Before you can proceed, please build your avatar.” The voice is robotic. On the cave wall comes up a plethora of options to select. Think of building an avatar for a video game. This can be as fantastical as you want it to be. Want to be a centaur? Go for it. Want to be a goth cowboy? That works.
Include qualities, hopes, dreams, aspirations. Create a physical representation of them. This can be abstract, or stick figures, or using collage. You can always simply write it out as well.
How are they dressed?
Do they have any special powers?
What tools are in your pack? What do you need for the journey? What purpose do they serve?
Do you have a companion? What type of creature is it? Cryptic? Ghost? Animal? Deity? This creature will embody comfort and safety for you on this journey. What reminders are they whispering to you as you trek in the wildlands? How can they help you get grounded back into the present moment?
