The creative juices have been FLOWING everyone. I’ve been working on writing and art, in sketchbooks and journals, and I feel abundant. I am here today to share a couple of my recent poems, as well as completed artworks. Stick around to the end where you will find some FREE printable pages available to use for collage fodder. Go out there and get creative, folks.
Poems
I’ve found that my poetry is hitting this interesting middle ground between reminiscing about the past and noticing the beauty of all that is around me. Here is what I have to share.
Blooming Shade
Tiny red fingers
reach for beginnings
baby red maple leaves
with water droplets
hanging on
against the ever-present
force of
gravity
Secret Passage
Awestruck by the way
the wet wood of a tree
that has been drenched
by an afternoon
of storms
looks almost like a
fairy portal
you could peel back the
curtain of moss
to find the
Otherworld
looking back at you
Just Another Tuesday
Raw emotions prove I am
ripped open already
wounds still healing from
claws of the stalking beast
that waits in the shadows
right over there
you can hear the padding
of each step
as it paces
waiting
ready to pull me back
to the ground
choking on dirt in my mouth
blood on hands around rocks
embedded in my palms
see I’ve done this scramble before
I’ve been so shredded
to pieces
it felt as though
I could never emerge.
Sometimes I dream of returning
saltwater raised up
underneath my chin
as I fight for
air
sometimes I dream of
oblivion
and it seems like
a precious offer.
Then I get back up.
Left Behind
Discarded
peanut shells
was it man
or beast?
Is there even
a difference?
Finally, this is the last one. I’ve shared this in Notes already, and I have modified it slightly. It’s part poem, part prayer, part affirmation. It was INCREDIBLE when it just came flowing out during a journaling session. It’s my favorite feeling when that happens.
Here
I am a pilgrim
Walking toward
The beauty of
My own life
Everyday
Would love to know what you all think of these words! All have come through for this 90-day-project that has been a success in getting me writing more consistently, though I do miss a day from time to time.
Recent Completed works
Note that “Climbing” and “Strut” are spoken for as they will be included in outgoing care mail. The other originals are available for purchase. All artworks will be uploaded to Redbubble for prints and stickers.

Collage Papers and my new Substack
I have been working on a writing project called Letters to Imaginary Friends. As of now, there are three pieces published, all in the form of letters to Margot. Mostly, I wanted to create a space for my weird, funky, magical writing to go without overloading the Contemplative Creativity publication. You can check out this new project here.
Anyways, for this project I have been altering photos and paintings in procreate for the artwork to go along with each piece. I have to say that the process is fun and the product turns out wild. I thought the digital art would make excellent collage fodder SO my experimentation is your gain. Below you will find FREE printables for the works Moss, Glitch and Sky. Feel free to use these in your creative endeavors. Please let me know if you’d like me to continue sharing these!
If you want to share, I would love a tag. If other folks comment, I would love if you could direct them to this space. Let’s all share the collective creativity. Here are the previews of what’s included in the attachments as full page printouts (adjusted for paper size as the original images were square).

May we all love each other better,
Rikki
Let’s Connect!
Feel free to respond to this email if you have anything you’d like to share, or leave a comment! I am back on Instagram in a much more intentional way under starmothcreates. I’ve also meandered back to TikTok for the time being, link below. I’ve hit a creative flow that has felt really good to share. I’m going to go with my gut for that. Feel free to find me in any of those places, or simply connect here. Care mail and Oracle art readings are available through Ko-fi. Prints and other items are available through Redbubble.
This is overflowing with wonderful visual art, beautiful writing, and generosity. I like what you are doing analog and digitally. I have had fun altering images but can get lost there for many hours trying to get the work just right or trying out 1000 variations. I recently tried pinterest shuffles just to see and that was fun. Anyway, I am glad you put your creativity out in the world. I always enjoy seeing what you are working on.
